Mathematical skills are primarily manifested through proficient problem-solving, logical analysis, abstract thinking, calculation, quantitative proficiency, as well as statistical and probability analysis. Despite substantial efforts, like drilling practices and tuition, many children struggle with Mathematics later in life due to inadequate foundational understanding established during their younger years. This deficiency often leads to a dislike for Mathematics, stemming from limited progress and contributing to a tumultuous learning experience.
Through our programme, learners will develop
To foster mathematical thinking in children aged 3-6, the Super Child Club implements methods such as interactive teacher-child engagement, captivating games, and hands-on activities. These approaches aim to spark their curiosity about mathematics and lay a strong foundation in the subject.
Multilingual education plays a pivotal role in enhancing children's cognitive abilities and stimulating brain development. By incorporating interactive activities and expanding vocabulary, students will significantly boost their English and Chinese reading, communication, and listening skills. The SuperChild approach will inspire a love for language and enabling cross-cultural exploration.
In both the curriculums, students will learn to identify, read and write high frequency words through a series of activities and stories. Tapping on the golden period for langauge acquisition, Super Child's English and Mandarin classes set the foundation of a learner's interest to speak and write the specific language in later years. Many learners tend to have a preference for their native language. By providing exposure in a organic learning environment, learners are motivated to pick up the language that they feel less confident in.
Singapore's education system places strong emphasis on fostering children's self-expression and public speaking skills, which extends towards college and future careers. SuperChild focuses on developing confidence and strong communication skills through a blend of storytelling, engaging games, and enjoyable activities. Learners delve into sound and vocabulary exploration in diverse contexts while building their essential language proficiency.
For a start, to develop a child's confidence in reading, stories are broken down into bite-sized portions. Students are encouraged through interactive quizzes and picture reading to develop word recognition skills and confidence to read aloud.
Handwriting is a key school readiness skill for academic development. Our program uniquely incorporates the science of Graphology through a step-by-step process, helping learners to develop proper pencil grip, letter formation, and overall handwriting fluency to boost each learner’s self-confidence and cognitive development.
Teachers utilises games and activities on top of writing practices to help students develop stronger fine motor skills and finger strength for proper pencil grip. Throughout the sessions, learners will be guided on the correct sitting posture, proper pencil grip, formation of straight and curve lines and finally, uppercase and lowercase letter formation.
In the "Early Explorer Memory Course" offered by Super Child Club, children will undergo a systematic training program that encompasses associative memory, repetition and reinforcement techniques, observational memory, and more. These modules are taught through engaging activities, captivating stories. The program is further enhanced with highly interactive games, allowing children to seamlessly develop their memory skills in a relaxed and enjoyable manner, all the while fostering their growth seamlessly.
As memory and logical thinking are closely intertwined, our learners will enhance their memory skills through a series of strategy puzzles along with an extensive set of memory cards. The Super Child approach taps on the use of the left and right brain to harness the strength of both brain hemispheres. This is a contrast from typical learning environment which favours only left-brain skills such as language, analytical reasoning and sequential processing. In SuperChild, our learners leverage on their right brain to process visual and spatial information as well as recognise broader patterns and relationships.
Beyond academic success, it is essential for each learner to be instilled with the rightful values and skills from a young age to steer them on the right direction. This will also promote their individual social and character development for ethical decision making and civic responsibility.
We usher our young learners into the captivating world of robotics, coding, and STEM principles through immersive, hands-on experiences. These experiences sharpen young minds, enhancing their logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Learners will be picking up Block Programming using the robotics kit, UARO whereby they will pick up the following concepts:
The UARO robotics kit comprise of 4 progressive levels with 16 different structures each. At each level, there will be emphasis on certain components to help students master the core concept before progressing to the next level.
